Dr. Shaun M. Burns

We built Dr. Shaun Burns a brand and a custom WordPress site for his Portland psychology practice, designed to turn visitors into booked consultations.

Website & Brand
The homepage hero: Dr. Shaun M. Burns, Ph.D. psychologist, with a short introduction, a Book a consultation button and his portrait.
One clear way to book, right up front, in a custom hero block.

Making the First Step Easier.

Choosing a therapist is personal, and most people arrive unsure whether they’re in the right place. Working alongside Shane Collier, we built the site around one low-pressure next step: a free 10-minute consultation, kept always in reach as visitors scroll. Dr. Burns’ approach and focus areas are laid out plainly, making it easy for prospective clients to see themselves in the care he provides.

A Custom Theme With Purpose-Built Blocks.

There’s no page builder underneath. We built a custom WordPress theme with blocks made for this practice, so Dr. Burns can update his services and availability himself without breaking the layout. The code itself is clean and properly structured, so search engines understand exactly who he is and where he practises, helping the site show up when people in Portland look for a psychologist.

Outcome

A Brand Built From Scratch.

The identity was built alongside the site: a confident serif wordmark, a deep teal and warm paper palette, and single-line illustrations that make a clinical subject feel human. It gives a new private practice the calm, established presence that helps a first-time client feel ready to reach out.
